Job Description

  • Design and Development: Creating medical devices, equipment, and software used in healthcare settings. This could range from prosthetic limbs to imaging devices like MRI machines.
  • Testing and Evaluation: Conducting experiments and tests to ensure that medical devices meet safety and efficacy standards. This may involve simulations, clinical trials, and data analysis.
  • Research: Investigating new technologies and techniques to improve healthcare outcomes. Biomedical engineers often work on cutting-edge projects to advance medical science.
  • Collaboration: Working closely with healthcare professionals, scientists, and other engineers to understand clinical needs and develop innovative solutions.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring that medical devices adhere to regulatory standards and guidelines set by organizations like the FDA (in the United States) or CE (in Europe).
  • Maintenance and Support: Providing technical support and troubleshooting for medical devices in clinical settings. This may involve training healthcare professionals on how to use new equipment effectively.
  • Documentation: Keeping detailed records of design processes, test results, and regulatory compliance to ensure accountability and traceability.
  • Quality Control: Implementing quality control measures to ensure that medical devices meet quality standards and perform reliably.
Qualifications/Experience
  • Degree/Diploma in Bio-Medical Engineering
  • Atleast 3yrs in a similar capacity
